A brilliant way to end the season for the U16 Girls PDG with two amazing team performances!
Team East Coach Vickie had this reaction: A tremendous performance for Team East today, coming away with a brilliant 0-50 win. Each moment filled with the right teamateship forged over this excellent finale at Birmingham & Solihull.
Tight forward bonds proved staggering links between the pods to create overlaps in the defensive lines, which was quickly and professionally monopolised by the backs.
Talia emerged as the forward of the game, bursting through the defensive line carrying the ball the length of the pitch in more than one occasion. Holly J back of the match orchestrated the back line with true precision. Seeing quick ball being passed out to the fringes, setting up many tries for most of the positions in the pitch.
Team Midlands Coach Kerry had this to say on their win: A strong performance on the road from our girls today as we took on Bucks ‘A’ at Birmingham & Solihull RUFC in our final match of the season, coming away with a 55–5 win.
The team showed fantastic support play throughout, with excellent continuity in attack, leading to some really well-worked, multi-phase tries. The girls read each other brilliantly in both attack and defence, demonstrating clear communication, effective alignment, and just how well they’ve gelled over the course of the season.
Credit to Bucks ‘A’, who showed outstanding resilience and commitment, maintaining strong defensive structure and line speed, continuing to compete right through to the final whistle.
Plenty to be proud of in terms of work rate, decision making and execution. A great all round squad performance to round off the season.
