The President of the RFU has chosen to come to the East Midlands for one leg of his 150 mile walk to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the RFU.
Jeff Blackett is raising money for the Injured Players’ Fund by walking 15 legs of 10 miles each across the country, together with his wife Sally, and rugby people from each CB that he visits – full details can be found on the IPF website : https://www.rfuipf.org.uk/news
For his East Midlands visit, he is hoping that 20 people will join him on the circular walk starting and finishing at Bedford Athletic’s ground in Wentworth Drive, Bedford, and support him in the fund-raising.
The walk will start at about 11.00 on 27th October.
Walkers will be provided with a bacon sandwich prior to the walk, and will be invited to join the President at a buffet following the walk.
